The kaiseki dinner at Ryokan Adumaya was absolutely phenomenal, a true highlight of my trip. Even though I hadn't initially booked dinner, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. The traditional tatami mat rooms were comfortable, with the added convenience of an en-suite western-style toilet. The shared baths were wonderful, especially the mineral-rich onsen sourced from Yunomine hot spring. I loved having the option to relax in the separate men and women's sides or the two private family tubs. The ryokan's location across the street from Tsuboyu Onsen and the public cooking onsen was also a plus, adding to the overall charm and historic feel of the onsen town. The service we received from the moment we arrived was excellent, and my husband and I would definitely stay again.

good food, excellent service and breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. amicable, incredibly kind staff with smiling face. large rooms, fairly clean bathrooms, comfy beds. a huge variety of goodies for breakfast. prime location in hongu, close enough to the bus stop so very easy to find and hongu and the famous onsen. also, disinterested in everything.

The hotel is located right in the center of Yunomine onsen town, making it convenient for exploring the area and accessing the world heritage onsen. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, showing great attention to detail and making us feel welcomed. The rooms, with their little balconies facing the mountains, were cozy and provided a traditional experience with comfortable mattresses. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine.

The pillow could have been more comfortable, but everything else was fantastic.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist us during our stay. The onsen facilities were top-notch and we enjoyed the convenience of having a bus stop right outside the hotel. Additionally, being able to easily change into kimono at the hotel and walk to the nearby onsen was a unique and enjoyable experience.

On the downside, some parts of the hotel seemed to be in need of renovation. The walls, floor, and fixtures appeared worn and could use some refreshing.

The staff at this hotel are exceptional and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. The rooms, with their little balconies facing the mountains, provide a sense of tranquility and relaxation. I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, providing the same level of service you'd expect from a luxury resort. They spoke good English, which made communication easy. The hotel facilities were excellent, especially the large and authentic onsen facilities. The mineral-rich water from the Yunomine hot spring made for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The food was another highlight of my stay. The kaiseki dinner was absolutely phenomenal and one of the best meals I had during my trip. Breakfast was also tasty and varied, with a traditional Japanese menu. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, onsen, and staff exceeded my expectations.

    Nothing to be said.

We had a great stay at Ryokan Adumaya. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Yunomine, next to the world heritage public onsen and the hot spring where you can boil eggs and vegetables. The indoor and outdoor onsens were really nice and relaxing. The traditional kaiseki meal served in our room at dinner time was a highlight and gave us a very authentic Japanese experience. The staff were welcoming and the service was exceptional. a beautiful old ryokan with great facilities and a wonderful experience.

    Recommend this hotel.

The complimentary meals were fantastic and very enjoyable. The location was key for the hiking trip we planned and very convenient for us. We really appreciated the private onsen to relax in after a long day of hiking.

The hotel's decor is quite dated and could use some maintenance. Additionally, the set meal times were not flexible and we had to rush to make it to breakfast and dinner.
